Only reason I ask is I have a brand new sealed GALLON of HGP GN4 in 10w-40 I'd like to use. The manual recommends 10w-30.

I see no real issues with it but thought I'd refer to the Grom experts here.

Unless your riding in sub zero or 120+ temps.... it really doesnt matter. Pick your favorite brand or color of bottle you like.

With 2.5k mile change intervals (and no oil filter) it's a waste of money to use synthetic. Oil gets dirtier faster than it's shears. Use mineral Rotella T 15w40 instead.
