Are there any 17" wheels that will bolt straight in? Or will swingarm and fork mods be required? With 17" wheels the options for tires grow exponentially...
It's only 2-1/2" more radius on each side of the axle...

I don't know about 17" but I think a nice 14" spokes wheelset +3" stretch on the swingarm and triple trees and fork swap from something with a little more travel would be sick. Ah the wait continues

Larger wheels could bring on handling issues although if you can afford the bigger wheels you can probably afford to do lots more ...

The smaller wheels would keep the weight lower and I doubt that there would be a lot of situations where you could push the bike past the smaller pirelli's.

Oh for sure unless you print the damn monies.

I would rather just stick with the stock size and get a second set of mud tires for the baja. Maybe even a second set of wheels. Got me thinkin now

so your going to rattle can your wheels gold? I plan to do mine in white but going to try and use plasti dip to get a feel for it first before going permanent.

why is the tires so expensive $200 for 17". I just bought a new rear tire for my Hayabusa using BT 023 which cost me $150 and with the Calif tax and desposal fee and tire replacement and balance it came out to $169.69. The only thing I had to do was remove my tire/rim and take it down to the dealer and they removed the old tire and installed the new tire on my rim and spin balance the rim/new tire.
