So where are the reviews? The bike has been out over a week now and all I can find is official Kawa news, walk-arounds, previews, and older announcements. What we need is actual owner experiences, YouTube videos showing acceleration, top speed, comparisons to the 250r, etc. It's starting to freak me out that there aren't more owners and more interest in the 125. Not a single glowing review so far. What gives? There should have been several hundred sold by now.

I went on a two hour ride today on a twisty section of back roads and the chassis is as stable as any R6/GSX-R I've ever ridden. Stock brakes leave a little to be desired, but that is fixable. The power and delivery are really good for the displacement and it is great to ride through long sweeping curves. I will get some acceleration and top speed videos by this time next week.

I know it's too early, but I want to see a 250r vs. 125 on a drag strip. That's not where the bike shines, but I still want to see it. Then I want to see some highway riding, passing cars at higher speeds, and a couple of top speed videos, some comparison between the 250 vs the 125 and some likes and dislikes.

Kawa claims 60mph indicated @ 6800 RPM in 6th, so 60 mph * 0.857/2.719 = right about 19 mph @ 6800 RPM in first.

He said it's the middle range where you notice the difference, but then he hasn't pushed it yet. I think you are still going to need to do a lot of shifting in town. I always pretty much just went right up through the gears one after the other to 6th, then back down again between each traffic light. With a bigger bike, I seldom get past 3rd on these same streets. It doesn't sound like the 125 is going to save any shifting. What it should do is help when you are going 45 in 6th and merging with interstate traffic. It should help you get out in front. Really, for city traffic, nothing beats a scooter. Scooter=no shifting at all. Selling a kid on a scooter for a first bike would be a hard sell though LOL. The Aussie says the claimed high speed is 180 km which would be 111 indicated, I think, which would be around 104 or so. The question is how does it feel and sound at a real 75 mph (actual interstate travel speed where I live). The Aussie also says the 125 sounds lame at idle just like the 250. Man, they need a better pipe.

I think the 125 sounds awesome at idle compared to the 250, that guy is crazy! You cant expect bib bike sound from a small engine, but I ahve to say the 125 sounds way better than a stock 250! At least in my opinion haha

The 125 sounds a little more high pitch when comparing with the 250r. I actually like it a lot more than the 250r.
