55mph is a comfortable speed, it is going to be white-knuckle, laying flat (difficult), down hill with a following wind to get 65mph.

Maybe replace the rear sprocket with a smaller one? I know that's not stock but a minor change.

cool! i think 60 max would be fine for me on a bike this small. i just sold my 81 Honda CM200, i had changed the sprockets a few times to move it up to 72 max speed. but that was holding on for dear life and not comfortable at all!
