Front Forks Remove, Disassemble, Install Gold Valve Kit&Springs Review, Video & more

.
As most of you already know, the Front Forks on the Grom are horrible.
Not only are they way undersprung, there is little to no dampening.
Yes, some guys have done band-aids fixes and put thicker fork oil.
But, that doesn’t resolve the severely undersprung front fork springs (.400 kg/mm)… which are rated for about 90-100 lb rider.
Since most of us are well over 100 lbs, those springs just don’t work well.

Overall we just wanted to enjoy our Grom more.

So it was time to install the Race Tech Gold Valve Compression and Rebound Combo, as well as Race Tech Fork Springs with the proper spring rate.
After hearing all the muttering about the Grom Forks internals, we weren’t sure how hard this would be.

Turns out, it’s actually very easy.

And if you get the (2) recommended tools, that we show, there is no reason you can’t do this yourself.

Seriously.

And of course we are offering special Forum Member pricing, which
we have already listed on our website___ >> GROM PARTS <<

UPDATE:

So with some Good advise from one our Forum Members, we have decided to do a RENTAL Program for the Fork Tools required to do the Install.

When you place your order, You buy the tools to start... BUT... "Choose the Rental Program"

Once you are done with them, mail them back to us.

And we will refund your money for the tools, Less $25 "Rental Fee"

That will save you some money over having to purchase them outright. :)

.

UPDATE:

Well, we just got done with a 1 hr ride on the "New and Improved" Front forks.

One Word............ WOW.

It's like night and day.

This is how the we have wanted the Grom to feel like all along.

So much more compliant with Road surface, better handling, better feedback, NO Bottoming out................ just overall better feeling bike.

Must more confidence in the Front end.

It has literally transformed the bike.

BIG Thumbs up to Race Tech.............Job Well Done.

Guys,
Good video, but you left out the price?
With your installation on someones forks, no tools, how much less shipping?
Parts & tools only, less shipping?

It's listed under their website, springs are a separate cost so is the tool kit and you are looking at about $476 which includes better springs and both tools, and not including shipping which what I added up to be from their website. add oil cost later depending what wt you want

Dang I didn't realize the forks on the GROM were so wimpy and cheap. Is there any chance that Honda would make some changes down the road on the forks?

For the price you buy these Groms/MSX-125, nope

to keep the cost down you design the motorcycle with the lease amount of man power, design cost as to sell these MC cheap to the general public.

Just enjoy the ride and if you don't like it than mod it to your spec

Ride safe

Exactly.

Same reason the brakes are just... 'ok'

They got to keep the cost reasonable so they can sell them for only $2999.
