"most enjoy the light".... meaning people who drive cars that don't lean?
The projector puts out a nice flat line at the top of the pattern... you can have it aimed nice and level with your horizon, but as soon as you lean the bike and turn, your "horizon" that you have to view essensially 'rises' because from your bikes point of view, it has to look "up" through the turn. With the projector, that horizon of the beam is still down where it is when the bike is upright.
Riding in areas like i do, that translates into and area of absolute darkness as you are leaning into a turn at night... and the area that is in darkness is what you are about to ride into, and you're completely blind to possible issues in the road (potholes, gravel, dead/live animals, a car parked too far into the street, etc).
Maybe the "most" ride in city situations where there is light anyway, and you can still see whether you had your headlight on or not... for instance, when i was riding in NYC, i didn't notice it at ALL... but as soon as we got out of the city back onto dark roads, it was more noticeable, but there was still some light here and there, so it was tolerable... But on the roads around here, it is downright dangerous...
