Just found this ad on Kijiji, not exactly Toronto, just outside. In Milton. They have 2 Groms in stock and are asking $3,765, which includes PDI, freight and all the fees. Licence and HST are extra.

Okay, admit it: When you first look at the sporty and playful Grom you just have to smile. And no matter how long you’ve been riding, you just want to throw a leg over this bike and twist the throttle. It’s an excellent fit for both new and experienced riders, but to Gen Y buyers in particular the Grom carries a bit of attitude while promising fun times: the compact frame size, low seat, inverted front fork and hydraulic disc brakes make this the real deal. And once you get rolling it’s easy to see this is no mini bike; the 125cc engine delivers lots of torque plus smooth throttle response due to fuel injection, the 4- speedmanual transmission works just like any other full-sized bike, the maneuverability and handling make it a joy to ride, and there’s even room for a passenger. Factor in its efficient size with an affordable price, and there’s just no way you can pass up this chance to get out and ride. Because no matter who you are, the Grom will keep you smiling, ride after ride.
Good copy, i wonder if they wrote it them selves :D

I just MIGHT, still on the fence, Grom or Zuma. Leaning towards Grom though. Just seems like id rather hang out with motorcycle people than scooter people.

I'm pretty sure the scooter community doesnt have as much after market support or DIYers to show you little hacks like the sprocket change or air box mod.. To a newb, stuff like that is important :D:D

I'm going to try and get out to the dealer over the weekend, hopefully they still have one:eek:

Things usually cost more in Canada than they do in the US, so that price for a Grom is probably right around what I'd expect. With only two in stock at that dealer you better move quickly if you want one of those Groms to be yours.

Ya everything is more here. But that's how it is. We have 10% of the population of USA with a larger land mass

Hard to pay and maintain infrastructure here. But it's not that bad in Alberta. We have lots of oil so the economy is good here.

I'm in Toronto, we just piggy back off that business, hello Bay St. With taxes i assume it will settle somewhere just north of $4k unless i can talk the salesman down a little. Pretty confident i can

I'm going to take a boot up there on the weekend and see how things shake out, maybe by Monday i'll be a full time Grommer, not just a pathetic lurker :D:D
