Who has info as to when the Grom with actually hit showroom floors in Canada?

I put down my deposit with a friend that is a sales rep at my local powerhouse dealer. He said I should expect to get see the Bike in September as Canada is usually a month behind on the release date.

I also head today that some dealers here in the Toronto area are not expecting them till December.... ???

Has anyone heard anything along the lines of what the actual Canadian release date will be for the Grom? I really don't feel like waiting till December. Also, most of the powerhouse dealers here don't do much with Bikes over the winter because well, its the WINTER! lol So this is why December doesn't make sense to me.

Share any info you have here, Im not happy about the wait!

Isn't the date in Canada the same as the US? Why would they release it later?

I really don't see why it should be any different for Canada. all they have to do is go a bit north and there you go.

We never get anything at the same time... Im going back to the dealer again tonight and give them grief. Its torture sitting here reading all of this and not being able to pick it up. I hate suspense!!!

wouldn't be surprised if it is buy a few hundred. can always expect a mark up on canadian market products over the american market versions

A lot of vehicles get jacked up here, sometimes by a few thousand dollars. For the Grom, I think it's only a one thousand dollar mark up from US prices.

I called a local dealer here (Carter Motorsports) and they said that it's due September not December Admin.. hope that helps.. and they tried to get me to buy a grom.. told them I'd come in.. he also emailed me after to confirm the date:

"Hi Sam,

I checked with Honda Canada and was advised arrival should be September. No pricing has been announced as of yet."

... the sooner the better! As to price in Canada, with troubled times, everyone flocks to the US greenback, so our loonie is falling a bit, which will be factored in, for sure!

According to the literature I've found, Canadian MSRP is edit $3199.

We normally get an "intent to ship" notice from Honda, letting us know they've released a unit we have ordered to us. This is to let us know the unit(s) is/are on the way. Usually we get these 1-2 weeks in advance of getting the unit off the truck, however we (as of today, the 21st) haven't received any info about the Grom yet.

Interestingly enough, the "ETA" on the Groms in early July was August 13th.

We aren't a Powerhouse dealer, so I don't know if they will get them before us or not. I'm assuming so, as Honda has a big hardon for their Powerhouse dealers. Why, I have no idea, but they do.
