U.S. Honda motorcycle dealers have been told to expect their first order of Grom's during the first week of august 2013 (as reported here) with majority of dealers charging a $100 refundable deposit. If you don't get in on the first order good luck getting one after as there will be ONE unit per month for the remainder of the year! So it's either you get one NOW or wait for 2014 With that being said it's probably best if we post the Grom allocation numbers we find out in this thread as it will only help everyone else here get a Grom ASAP!

Rod's Power Sports in New England. They're very helpful, have 12 Grom's incoming of which 3 are currently allocated to customers, and have both colors coming, and as of June 15th they can hold one for you for $100 US as a deposit. So I heard that today, June 20, is the day all the Honda dealers place their orders with American Honda.
How long after the order does it take or the dealer to learn what they are allocated?

my dealer took my deposit June 4. and as of the 14th they claim to have ordered it and are only waiting for shipping...... C'MON WITH IT ALREADY!!!!!

I called my Honda dealer last week and they said the first two for end of August were already sold but he's going to call me so I can at least sit on one and check it out.

The next shipment for September already has one sold so it sounded like they might have two allocated for September but he didn't know what colors they would be. He confirmed it would be either the red or black.

He also said I could put a deposit on one for September but it would be a $500 NON-refundable deposit which I wasn't ready to pull the trigger on right now. I guess if I don't win the Grom contest in August (haha ) I can look at getting mine in September. Riding season is nearing it's end and I don't want to miss out!

I called the local dealer yesterday, and the salesman said: "What's a Grom?" Surprised me as they have been a Honda dealer for almost 50 years.

Fort Myers dealer told me in June that they had three coming in August. I bought a Red one. Today they told me that, beyond their control, their allocation had been reduced to one (a black one), and it was scheduled to be delivered on September 25. Beyond that, they had no idea when another one will be coming.

The $500 deposit NON-refundable is the dealer's rules that you spoke to and not the rules of Honda Motorcycle the company.

Your dealer is just being a dick and is greedy. I would take my money some were else. SERIOUS

Nonrefundable deposits are such bullshit. Definitely think that dealership is being greedy. Not cool at all.
