I see what you are talking about now.The trellis frame add on.It simulates the Ducati trellis frame.I'm not sure where to get them or their specific name.

Yeah they sell them on ebay coming from thailand. You can get them in red black and silver.

I dont think the Trellis frame is for impact. It seems like the tank will hit the ground before the Trellis frame would.

I personally would use it for looks.
