To those of you interested in getting a tank insert for your Grom/MSX125, what would you get a Carbon Fiber tank insert or Black ABS plastic tank insert?

voted other since I would like to see how a carbon kevlar tank insert would look, someone should jump on this idea. even if it's priced higher than the CF tank insert im sure people will still pay for it just to be different.

the plastic or abs plastic vent cover makes the Grom looks cheap. Carbon fiber is the way to go. Just stick it on once and then it'll be there forever.

true but then there is that same tone of black plastic in other area's of the bike, so i don't think it looks all that bad but when compared to carbon fiber it looks cheap. at the same time i don't think this should be someone's only carbon fiber modification, a carbon fiber theme would look better.

The flat black is what I would get. Unless it was real carbon fiber.

Or paint it something crazy like orange or green. Or gold or silver to match the metal pieces.

Aren't these carbon fiber tank inserts real carbon fiber? they sure look it in the pictures above. There is a big difference between CF wrapping and real CF, these seem real... maybe the vendor can confirm this?

Of course they are real carbon! LOL. One of our main lines is carbon fiber and we make carbon for everything; from V Maxes to superbikes to Aprilia RS125s. It is not always easy to see the difference in photos but park your bike in the sun and you'll notice right away when the carbon gives that nice 3D affect.

A full carbon Honda Grom would be cool to see. Haven't seen a MSX 125 with carbon fiber fairings just yet.

Our front fenders are 130 USD but yes it does add up. I can see us making a complete carbon bodywork set in the not too distant future. :)
IT would be nice to see a Carbon Fiber full fairings and cowels for the honda Grom in the future. Mayeb even do different package deals.
