My main reason to get a Honda Grom over Ruckus is because the Grom looks more like a true motorcycle while the Ruckus doesn't even come close to it. Ruckus's look cool but not if you want something that looks like a real motorcycle.

good point, the ruckus is unique and there are ways the Honda Ruckus is customized that you wont see being done to a Grom, such as this styling for example:Im sure there will be just as much customization For the Honda Grom as the Ruckus.. to a degree.
But they are two totally different machines... One is a scooter with a 49cc engine, the other is basically a Mini Sportbike with a 125cc motor.
So you cant really compare the two... usless you look at something like the Honda KSR110.
Just had a crazy idea what if we swapped wheels from a ruckus and put the on the Honda Grom, It would be nice to go off road with these tires I think. My main reason to get a Honda Grom over Ruckus is because the Grom looks more like a true motorcycle while the Ruckus doesn't even come close to it. This is more of a style statement than function I don't know if many owners would do this to their Grom it would take out so much of the functionality. These custom ruckus' are more for show in a parking lot.good point, the ruckus is unique and there are ways the Honda Ruckus is customized that you wont see being done to a Grom, such as this styling for example:

it is indeed, this pretty much gives ruckus's a chopper-like feel to them if you know what im sayingI've seen some pretty quick Ruckus scooters before. I think this would be a nice upgrade from a Ruckus - reason why I'm comparing.
Unless you bring in the Ruckus' sibling the Honda Big Ruckus which is 250cc but still when you look at the chassis and platform it is hard to believe that this thing packs a punch.Im sure there will be just as much customization For the Honda Grom as the Ruckus.. to a degree.

The Grom definitely has a different attitude -- Grom for me.The way I see is that the Ruckus is more of a laid back bike and the Grom is more outgoing and carries a different attitude making any novice rider want to shot for that first ever wheelie.
That looks far better than the stock Ruckus. I would drive that.it is indeed, this pretty much gives ruckus's a chopper-like feel to them if you know what im saying

okay that's not the best example but it's close enough. the ruckus just does an amazing job pulling together retro, chopper, etc styling all into an affordable mini version.
might have to get myself a ruckus and grom.
