I've been told a pre-ride inspection should be performed before riding to ensure safety, but since im new to bikes, I have no idea how to do this. How do we perform a pre-ride inspecton on the Grom/MSX125?

I would say checking things like gas levels, brakes, leaking, light checks. But I think most riders probably just hop on and go. Especially when it comes to newer bikes.

should be worrying too much about this, do what HondaNation said along with checking torque of the wheel nuts if you really want to be extra sure you'll be safe. I believe the owners manual has a list of things to do.
