Hi,

I have ordered from here before - China - but this site ships internationally. Sometimes, delivery dates are long, but they do turn up.

Even if you don't order, it is useful to see what is available and you can search on other local sites.

These, for example, make great DLR for front (white) and extra rear lights (red) and are a quarter of the price, or less, than the same lights on eBay.

How is the selection on ebay generally? When I think international I think ebay.
The same lights on eBay UK were nearly $50, ignoring the free postage option from the site above and paying $4 for 10 day delivery, it came to less than $15.

Same lights / direct from manufacturer I expect.

I will post "how to" etc. when I fit them (of course)!

the lights in the link in the original post seem okay i have heard mixed experiences with ordering lights from China. Are there any key lighting brands to look out for when going for a quality light? Don't want to order from china and have a light that goes out days or weeks later

You pays yer money and takes yer chance!

Or "buyer beware" as the Consumer Protection Officer might say.

I have had the odd issue with LED stuff from eBay where it ships from China and then again, I have had CREE LED sidelights for the car from China and they are still working after 24 months. Looking at the pics in the link above and a search on eBay for the same name (Eagle Eye), they look identical. I could buy them from eBay at USD50 and if there is a problem, go through the hassle of a refund etc. This way, I spend USD15 and if something is naff, I haven't lost too much.

Well, that was QUICK, they arrived yesterday evening. They look and feel very high quality, nice light unit, professionally finished wiring. I will be making a How To post, probably tomorrow. I have bought white for the front and red for the tail, probably mounted under the number plate. Might mount them as number plate holding bolts, have not made up my mind on that one.

More soon in the How To thread..........

Got dragged out shopping, new bed time apparently. Don't know what's wrong with the one we have, I get in bed, sleep, wake up next morning. Any day you wake up is a good day in my book. Will spending USD1,100 make me sleep better? :)

Anyway it's 6pm here in the UK as I type this so I may start taking the tail apart to add the red extra rear lights and finish it tomorrow. By the way, I put 12v across them, the magnifying lense makes them bright - I can still see the spots before my eyes.
