I took the habit to reset the trip counter at every fillup so that i can keep an eye on my millage. Around the end of breakup i was around 155mpg but after about 1500 miles it started to decrease. At 2500 miles i'm about at 140mpg now.

Just curious to know if anybody noted a similar decrease. Any idea why?

Thanks.

I found mine decreasing as well.
I think for me it was that the bike was getting run in
So I was riding faster.
Mind you 140mpg still no complaints. lol

Have you checked the air pressure in your tires lately? A drop in pressure could have a negative impact on your MPG...

Good point! I'll look into that.

PS: i'm not complaining really, just curious. I know, 140mpg is just amazing. I'm short and light. The MSX is made for me! - lol!

Mine started out getting 115 mpg. I never really dropped until I put a pipe on it. Then I started seeing low 100s to high 90s, and then today I saw 92 mpg. I think it's just because I ride it harder.

As far as ambient temperature...I got it in August, and of course now that it is January, it is much colder. She's been consistently maintained, and just crossed over 1,000 miles.
