Let's open a project thread :)

Got the bike the last week of Aug. Ordered it right after test driving the old and new model Vespa, didn't like it, tried the MSX and I was sold.

Only issue I have until now: sometimes it bogs in 3rd at exactly 70km/h (does this only once the first drive of the day); the front suspension is too soft for my 100kg, the tires are crap in the wet and last but not least: it is too slow (I want to be able to do at least a steady 95, uphill, in the wind, whatever condition).

First mod was blackening the side fender (one side, just to try).
I mounted carbon fiber parts (front and rear mudflaps, side cover parts, the intakes), head light protector and some handlebar weights.

Did the airbox mod and installed another cam.

Ordered some parts in Thailand and changed it some more.

Missing in the pictures: engine guards in gold, red under cowl, other rear turn signals.

Fitted a 14 teeth sprocket today, top speed went up to at least 109 kmh (not enough road left)

Plans? Whatever is possible :)
I'm from the car tuning scene, these bike things are cheap as hell :)
New front forks, rear shock, brakes, engine, ecu tuning, you know how it goes haha

Looks really nice, I would setup the front/rear wheels in gold also it will really make the Grom stand out. Maybe blacken out the little silver section on the front head light side holders. Other things I would do is break up the all red pan and make the second half of the under belly from the crest line back white in color or with a flowing graphic design in white and on the rear tail piece the back panel would also be white with the sides having a touch of white pin strips or some type of white graphic design mixed in with the black slowly fading towards the MSX emblem. It is just my artist interpretation of what I would do.

ride safe and congrats on your purchase. I'm still waiting for mind to be shipped to my dealer and here in Northern Calif the Grom price are between $3,600 to $4,500 OTD. Some buyers are paying under that but those are few and the lucky ones in California.

70 km/h on the 3rd gear is not a lot that is for sure,

Anyway if your bike is brand new you should maybe avoid to push it hard during the first couples of hundreds km, right ?

Forget the airbox, i setup the KN Filter it is loud as hell but you can push you bike so much better, 3rd gear up to 95 km /h (no real gain on 4th gear).
