The state that bleeds Husker Red!
Some interesting trivia about the Cornhusker State:
-Arbor Day was founded in Nebraska City by J. Sterling Morton in 1872
-State Insect is the honey bee
-Is the original birthplace of the Ruben Sandwich (yum!)
-Home to the largest railroad classification complex in the world -- located in North Platte
-University of Nebraska Football program has produced more Academic All-Americans than any Division I school
-Home to the world's largest porch swing (Hebron, NE. It can seat up to 25 adults!)
-Buffalo Bill Cody held his first ever rodeo in North Platte, NE on 4 July 1882
-Home of the College World Series circa 1950
