The state that bleeds Husker Red!

Some interesting trivia about the Cornhusker State:
-Arbor Day was founded in Nebraska City by J. Sterling Morton in 1872
-State Insect is the honey bee
-Is the original birthplace of the Ruben Sandwich (yum!)
-Home to the largest railroad classification complex in the world -- located in North Platte
-University of Nebraska Football program has produced more Academic All-Americans than any Division I school
-Home to the world's largest porch swing (Hebron, NE. It can seat up to 25 adults!)
-Buffalo Bill Cody held his first ever rodeo in North Platte, NE on 4 July 1882
-Home of the College World Series circa 1950

Okay, so maybe not all of them interesting....

Glad to Represent the Husker State!! Hello from the Midwest!!!

Thanks for sharing trivia about Nebraska. Also, thanks for your warm welcome. Here's another shout out right back at you since you heard the first one all the way from Virginia earlier. :)
