I am the new old guy, my name is John, but I am also called OldPhat
by most of my friends. At 67 years old and I have been riding Bikes
most of my life, a doodel bug at 12 I was hooked on two wheels. Was
on the net one day when I found the Grom, why would an old guy 67
want a Grom ? Just for the fun of it, to knock around the hood on.
For those short hops that I don't want get on my Road King on to do.

Welcome OldPhat. I am also 67 years old and I want a Grom. It is getting harder to deal with moving heavier bikes in and out of my garage, but the main thing with me is I have always like small bikes. I caught the riding bug first looking at Montgomery Ward catelogs...before I discovered the ladies underwear section anyway. I noticed they sold mopeds. Motobecane was one. Man I wanted one of those. Parents said no. I was about 12 at the time. Wise decision on their parts. Anyway I caught the bug early too.
Welcome! dont let your age keep you from driving!
I love small bikes myself. Soon I will own a street legal one! Welcome to the Forum, OldPhat.
yes, it's good to get over the "size matters" mentality!

welcome to the forum.

it's awesome that someone your age still wants to ride bikes and is still able to, and even better that you want a grom although you have a road king!

BTW any pictures of that road king of your's?
Welcome welcome to the forum, sir.

Welcome OldPhat. There are plenty of us "older" riders out here. I'm 62 and bought two more bikes this year. A VStrom and a 1967 Honda 305 Scrambler which I have wanted since I was in high school! Keep on riding my experienced friends.
Welcome aboard oldphat!

Still keeping the joy of riding going huh. Well you picked the right bike to just do that. Let us know when you get one.
