Ok. I never rode a motorcycle except once or twice on a back seat of a Harley. My car just broke down and that instead of buying another car, I would look into buying a Grom. Are they fairly easy to learn without killing myself? I wouldn't go on the hiway and just in the city where the top speed is 45.

Take a motorcycle safety coarse in your state/local district. The class will teach you safety tips, riding skills, motorcycle safety check list before riding, riding gear.

Like in our state Calif if you take a motorcycle safety class and pass and have a certificate all you do is take the certificate down to the local DMV and you do not have to take the riding test and only the written test and pass and you get your lic. Plus side is your certificate should help in getting a lower rate on motorcycle insurance depending on insurance carrier you get.

good luck

The Grom is the first bike I've ever rode (still learning, only been a little over 2 weeks).
It's so much fun & I'm comfortable on it.
