That's true. I feel that the Honda Grom would be a suitable step up for the scooter and moped owners. I personally wouldn't park next to these guys just in case if they were to think we are too good for them or anything like that.

Better buy something to lock your grom down with or those converted scooter owners might get together and carry it off.
the owners did look intimidating.. they looked like they were ready to upgrade!

Nothing wrong with riding a scooter. The market for the two vehicles seems pretty similar to be perfectly honest. I also know scooter riders who have tricked out older machines to be able to go 90mph+, which is actually pretty ballsy when you think about how tiny those tires are...

I just can't ride a scooter, cause no matter what you do, there is no looking cool riding one. :p The Ruckus and a few others are about the only exception IMO. Now I know that coolness really shouldn't matter, but at some level, I bet many of us got into riding motorcycles for the cool factor and just happened to fall in love with riding in the process.

I have the same thought when it comes to scooters, you automatically get out in to the same category as the vespa.

The Honda ruckus on the other hand is the only acceptable one that could pass as being cool and trendy to turn heads.

the ruckus can be seen as being on the same level as a vespa, it's just the aftermarket support and all the really cool modified ruckus's that set them apart. In stock form though it's like a vespa to me.
