My understanding is that the hub needs to match the swingarm/sprocket. So you'd need to know a few things:

- Inside width of swingarm
- Bolt pattern/spacing of sprocket

Once you've matched up the hub, you can lace it to the appropriately sized rim.

I know people who have switched from cast wheels to spoked and if you have to get into what I've described above then it's almost not worth the effort. Is it aesthetics you're looking for? If not, why not just run a dual sport tire on the stock rims?

My original thoughts were to run DS tires on the stock rims until I saw the spoke wheels so I guess it's more of an aesthetic choice. You're right though, it really does sound like a lot of ifs and extra work. Once my bike comes in, I'll give it some more thought.
