well since I might have to wait a little longer in getting my Grom I was thinking of having a spare fly wheel bought and sent out to have some of the metal taken off to lighten the fly wheel.

Has anyone done this fly wheel mod and did it help them in the performance of the Grom motor.

I read there's a company that will take your Grom fly wheel and remove some metal so your engine will rev up a little better and not lug in 4th gear.

Would making the flywheel thinner weaken the flywheel?
how much weight can you really shave off the flywheel?

I don't know that is why I'm asking, there have been posting that Grom members have done it and it made for better rev. I was told the fly wheel and oil spinner unit can be lighten for better engine response

link where I got the info

or go to JC link
