How much do you think it will cost out the door for a brand new 2014 Honda Grom when it makes it out of release in August?

In Cali the fees should be as follows:
Tax (depends on a county, city), mine has 8.75%: $262
Doc fee: $45
Tire recycling fee: $3.50
Destination: $125
Registration: $112
Setup: ?
Total, excluding setup should be: $3546.5
if setup is $200, then the total will be $3746.5

Adding to this I've seen members on this forum mention exact out the door prices of $3800 and $3900, and one of the reasons for this is probably where you are located and if you were able to negotiate a better MSRP.

Another thing that might change the cost would be the tax rate in your state. It shouldn't be too far off of $4000 though.

Probably a dumb question, but when it comes to the the difference between the invoice and msrp? Is that difference where the dealership profits and the invoice is the amount paid to Honda?

Basically yes, but dealer also receives incentives from the manufacturer, if he sells a lot of bikes, and sometimes just a cashback on every bike sold.

I went and checked my last new bike purchase back in 2009. There were a following fees included:
Doc fee: $55
Licensing fees to the DMV
Tax
And nothing else. There was no destination, setup, etc.

Well you won't be getting a GROM for under invoice so yes you could call it cost. Seems like people are paying 3700-4000USD for their GROM depending on what area they are in and what sort of deal they get.
