Has any one tried any tricks yet? I can only get it to come up in first but I have to pull hard on the bars. Stoppies are easy but after doing one my brakes make a squealing noise for a few minutes. Rolling burnouts are kind of tricky because the front tire wants to lock and slide sometimes. I'm going to try and ski beside it tomorrow if I can find my steel bottom shoes. I don't think the grom trick videos were made on stock bikes.
have you tried clutching it up? bounce the front end a little and on the upstroke flick the clutch and gas it, I can usually stand anything up like that. Just keep the rear brake covered and you will be fine.
I'll tell ya guys you can't just pop the clutch quickly at 6,000rpm like you can on a 600, 1000, or supermoto... This little Grom takes a bit more effort and a bit less speed in order to get that front to come up. I'm not saying it can't be done, just that it's harder than the ad makes it look.
I want to get mine broken in fully before I really start thrashing on it.
And then just a couple of hours later I'm out recording a wheelie practice session at dusk.. Shame shame. I'm rendering the video now and will upload to YouTube shortly. If you want to know exactly when it's up just Like me on Facebook and follow me on Google+. That's where I always put up notification of my new videos.
changed my bars to lower bars and it drastically changed how easy the front will come up
